Incredible $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore available until Dec. 2. Hailed as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by a specialized software company throughout their history, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. And there are multiple package options available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade cartography program which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

An imaginative landscape chart created using the CC3+ software platform.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle contains these components:

Every volume of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously an even better deal for cartography beginners considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here is that while you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation in the right-hand section. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
